The Game

50+ hand-made levels on a neon grid

Guide your pawns through the corridors. Flip switches, spin whole rooms by 90°, hold pressure pads, break the floor behind you. Collect every energy cell, then reach the exit.

Faraday Corridors is a solo project built in Godot. It gathers ten years of puzzle design into one engine: new corridors, plus remasters from the older Phantoms and Lockey Land.

Gameplay

First steps

An early puzzle: learning the Door Switch and the grid.

Gameplay

Order of operations

A trickier puzzle where the sequence of toggles starts to matter.

Mechanic

Block rotater

Rooms spin 90° on a trigger, so the geometry changes mid-run.

Coordination

Multi-pawn pads

Mechanics

Four trigger families that compose

Door Switch toggles a gate. Block Rotater spins a whole room by 90°. Contact Pad holds only while a pawn stands on it. Door Switch Once fires once and never comes back. Every puzzle in the game is built from these four.

Coordination

Multi-pawn routing

Switch between pawns for free. Park one on a pressure pad, take the other through the door it opens, split the paths through the maze. Pawn colour is only cosmetic: what matters is where each pawn stands.

Score

Four medals for speedrunners

Every level awards bronze, silver, gold or platinum. The gold and platinum thresholds are not guesses: a solver written in Rust searches each level exhaustively, so platinum is the proven optimum.

Content

50+ levels across six chapters

Ordered from the first easy corridors to the dense late ones. Eight short tutorial levels sit right in front of the mechanic they teach, so nothing arrives as a wall of text.

Rush mode

Hold to glide, tap-chain to electrify

Hold a direction and the pawn glides, picking up speed as it crosses cells. Chain quick taps and it electrifies: it turns gold and leaves a trail of lightning behind. Works on stick, D-pad or keyboard.

Steam Deck

Playing on Steam Deck

Native Linux build, played on a Deck every day

Faraday Corridors is developed on a Steam Deck as much as on a desktop. The Linux build is a native x86_64 binary, with no compatibility layer, and every screen of the game was drawn to be read and played on the handheld.

Native Linux x86_64 build

The Deck runs the Linux build directly, without Proton. It is the same binary I play on, tested on the hardware before every release.

Full controller support

Menus, puzzles, the level browser and Rush mode are all driven with the D-pad, the sticks, A/B/X/Y and the bumpers. Nothing in the game needs a mouse or a keyboard.

Readable at 1280x800

The interface is redrawn at the Deck's native resolution instead of being upscaled. Text is re-rasterised, so labels, times and medals stay sharp and large enough to read at arm's length.

Steam keyboard for the only text field

Naming a profile is the one place you type anything, and it opens Steam's floating gamepad keyboard on its own. No physical keyboard is ever needed.

Steam Cloud saves

Progression, medals and best times sync through Steam Cloud: start a chapter on the Deck, finish it on the desktop, and carry the same profile back.

27 languages

The game is translated into 27 languages, switched from the settings screen without restarting.

Deck Verified review

Valve reviews the official Verified rating once the game is released. The result will be published here as soon as it is known.
